Die Rubrik über „The Celtic Football Club“ beginne ich mit einer traurigen Nachricht welche mich vor einigen Tagen aus Frankreich erreicht hat. Bill Ford – Mitgründer des French Celtic Supporters Club – ist am 5. Juli 2007 53jährig an den Folgen einer schweren Krankheit verstorben.
Hier der Original Nachruf des French CSC:
“This man is the heart and soul of the French CSC. He is Scottish and passionate. His name is Bill Ford, and from west Fife he moved to France. A terrible disease has taken him away, but it will not steal the memories he leaves, his Scottish patter, his humour, his great culture, his inextinguishable curiosity, the endless, passionate debates we had together, and the friendship he gave us. He loved Scotland, he loved Ireland, he loved Celtic, he loved his friends and family, he loved life. He taught us so much, he gave us so much, through what is more than a supporters club. We’ll never walk alone, for you will always be with us. Rest in Peace, Bill.”
